Maria L. Varisco-Rogers Charter School eSTEM Ninjas have made it to the 2026 NJSBA STEAM Tank Challenge Regionals. “The STEAM Tank Challenge inspires students to become the next generation of entrepreneurs, inventors, scientists, artists and engineers to help make the world a better place, " said Dr. Timothy Purnell, executive director of NJSBA. “We’ve been overwhelmed by positive comments from students, educators and partners who have participated in past years, and we’re looking forward to welcoming a new class to the STEAM Tank™️ Challenge family.”
The New Jersey School Boards Association stated that the application committee was extremely impressed with the team's ideas and are excited to see them come to life. We are very proud of the Ninjas and know they will continue to excel and work hard throughout the next round of NJSBA challenge.

Maria L. Varisco-Rogers has purchased a one-of-a-kind Inchy's Bookworm Vending Machine. This will allow our students to build a love for literacy and engagement of reading both at school and at home. Our Inchy vending machine will have custom designed artwork to incorporate our school community and mascot to build school pride and bonding.

For the past 2 years MLVR has participated in the Discover Dairy: Adopt-a-Cow Program where our Host Farms were out of state. This year we are excited to tell you that Cora, our baby calf, is a New Jersey Native. She was born and resides at Myerwood Farms in Pilesgrove, NJ.
