McKinney Vento

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act ensures that students experiencing housing instability or homelessness have equal access to a free and appropriate public education. Our school is committed to supporting families with dignity, respect, and care.

🤝 What This Means for Families

Students who qualify under McKinney-Vento are entitled to supports that help ensure school stability, including:

  • Immediate enrollment in school, even without required documents
  • Continued attendance at their school of origin, when appropriate
  • Transportation assistance to and from school (when eligible)
  • Access to school meals and educational services
  • Support from school staff and social workers

🎒 How We Support Students

We work closely with families to ensure students remain connected to school and receive the support they need to succeed. This includes:

  • Helping families navigate enrollment and school services
  • Connecting families with housing and community resources
  • Providing ongoing social and emotional support through our support team
  • Collaborating with staff to support student stability and learning
