Q: How much does it cost to attend MLVR Charter School? 

A: It's FREE! We are a FREE Public Charter School. 

Q: What is a Charter School? 

A:  Charter schools are public, tuition-free schools that operate with more independence than traditional district schools. This flexibility allows them to create innovative programs, personalized learning opportunities, and a strong school culture, while still being held accountable for student achievement and growth.

Q:  How do I apply for my child(ren)?

A: To apply, please go to our "How to Apply" page. Once there, you will be directed to complete an interest form. Applications are accepted during our open enrollment period. Current school year applicants are accepted as seats open. For the upcoming school year, if there are more applications than seats, a lottery will be conducted. 

Q: Are siblings given priority? 

A: If your child has a sibling already enrolled in MLVR Charter School, please include that on the admissions application. It will be considered for enrollment. 

Q: What paperwork is needed for enrollment: 

A:  We will require the following upon acceptance: 

  • Proof of residency- provide a property deed, mortgage statement, lease, current utility bill, or notarized letter from the letter from the landlord. You must provide two proofs, for example, a lease and current utility bill. 
  • Proof of guardianship- One of the following: Original birth certificate with raised seal (hospital birth certificate is not acceptable) or copy of section of court decree awarding custody. 
  • Proof of enrollment in a local school district: child's report card and/or letter from district indicating you have registered. 
  • Proof of immunization: up-to-date immunization record from your child's pediatrician. 
  • Physical exam: up-to-date physical examination from your child's pediatrician (can not be older than 1 year).
